Liver Foundation, West Bengal aims to uphold the values and commitments of the health profession. In a society and time, when the terms called "profit" and "welfare" are fast changing positions as priorities, and a mix of the two is clouding health system objectives and professional targets, Dr. Chandrakant Patil was a refreshing exception. A young doctor from a low income family, he aspired to serve people of the country living at the socio-economic margins. A 24 year old young Dr. Patil died when lightning hit him while working amongst flood affected people in Sopaul district, Bihar.

We are committed to uphold his exemplary professional dedication and commitment. From 2008, Liver Foundation organizes a health dialogue on a socially relevant public health issue. It has been titled Dr. Chandrakant Patil Memorial Health Dialogue.

2011: Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Award held on 12.09.2011.

2012: Dr. Chandrakant Patil Memorial lecture was held at Suri, Birbhum, and the lecture was attended by the Assistant District Magistrate of Birbhum District on 9th September, 2012. 18 students of Birbhum District who have joined Medical Colleges this year for their medical studies have been awarded with the Dr. Chandrakant Patil Memorial Award. This award giving ceremony was held at Rabindra Sadan from 6 to 9 pm, Baharampur on 10th September, 2012. 20 students of Murshidabad District who have joined Medical Colleges this year received the award. Dr. Chandrakant Patil Memorial Health Dialog was held on 11th September, 2012 at Rotary Sadan from 6pm to 9 pm. The topic for the motion was "Best of Medical Care for most in India-Realization of a dream". Eminent personalities like Dr. Sugata Marjit, Dr. Manabi Majumder, Dr. Krishnendu Mukherjee & Dr. Abhijit Chowdhury were the speakers in this program. Dr Achin Chakraborty and Mr. Dilip Ghosh were the moderators at this event.

2013: "Dr. Chandrakant Patil Memorial Health Dialogue" was held at "Haripada Sahitya Mancha" Purulia, on 12th September, 2013. The lecture was attended by the Municipal Chairman of Purulia, Mr. Tarakesh Chatterjee, M.P, Mr. Narahari Mahato, eminent gynaecologist, Dr. Sanatan Dutta, ex Additional Director of Health services, Dr. Chandan Kumar Sen & respected Nirmalananda Maharaj. 11 students of Purulia district who have joined different medical colleges of the state this year for their medical studies have been awarded the "Dr. Chandrakant Patil memorial Award".

2014: Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Award Ceremony was organized in Purulia, for the successful candidates of the district in medical stream of WBJEE 2014 in September, 2014.

2015: Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Award Ceremony was organized in Birbhum, for the successful candidates of the district in medical stream of WBJEE 2015, on 12h September, 2015 at DRDC Hall, Birbhum.

Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Award Ceremony was organized in Murshidabad (Berhampore), for the successful candidates of the district in medical stream of WBJEE 2015, on 8th September, 2015 at Rabindra Sadan Baharampur.

2015: Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Award Ceremony was organized in Purulia, for the successful candidates of the district in medical stream of WBJEE 2015, on 13th September, 2015 at Haripada Sahitya Mandir, Purulia.

2016: Dr Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Debate was organized at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata on 12th September, 2016 to observe his 33rd birthday.

2017: "Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Lecture -2017" on the topic "Donation or Investment- which one is more important/appropriate for health welfare" was held on 13th October" 2017 at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata to observe his 34th Birth anniversary. Eminent speakers were Sri Arup Raha, Dr. Tushar Kanjilal, Mr. Chandra Sekhar Ghosh, Dr. Kunal Sarkar, Dr. and Dr. Abhijit Chowdhury.

2018: "Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Health Dialogue -2018" on the topic "Organ Donation " was held on 12th September,2018 at KalaKunj, Kolkata to observe his 35th Birth anniversary. Eminent speakers were General Shankar Roychowdhury, Dr. AbhijitChowdhury, Dr. VatsalaTrivedi, Dr. Manimoy Banerjee, Dr. Tapas Roychowdhury, BivasChakraborty, Dr. Mahesh Goenka, Chaiti Ghosal, Sohini Sengupta and Dr. Ashokanda Konar.

2019: 12th Dr. Chandra Kant Patil Memorial Health Dialogue -2019 was held on 12th September 2019 at KalaKunj, Kolkata to observe his 36th Birth anniversary. Budhhadeb Dasgupta (film director), Dr. AbhijitChowdhury, Dr. Nirmal Kumar Saha, Dr. Ashokanda Konar, Mr. Aaron Brinkworth, Mr.Gregg Alton, Mr. Anand Reddy along with Chandrakant Patil's partents.
